CorC

Cairo runs on mini-buses. Nothing about them is digital — yet. CorC is a coordination layer over the city's existing mini-bus network, bringing GPS-tracked rides, digital fares, and revenue intelligence to the largest, least-digitized part of Cairo's mass transit.

The opportunity

Mini-buses move more than half of Cairo, yet riders can't tell when one will arrive, fleet owners can't see real ride volume, and the state has no data on its largest transit mode. CorC digitizes that network without owning a single bus.

How it works

CorC sits as a thin coordination layer over the buses, drivers, and fleets that already exist — adding visibility and digital payments while keeping operations exactly where they are.

01

Bus-side QR boarding

The rider scans the bus's own QR sticker — the driver's phone is never in the boarding loop, which removes most of the cheating surface.

02

Capacity, not seats

Riders reserve "a seat," not seat #4 — no fights over who sits where, and a far simpler product.

03

Geofence completion

The fare is charged when the bus reaches the destination — GPS-verified, with no action needed from the driver.

04

Fleet-funded incentive

Fleets share recovered leakage with drivers, aligning everyone's incentives while the platform's economics stay clean.

05

GPS & revenue dashboard

Fleet owners finally see live vehicle positions, real ride volume, and per-vehicle revenue in one place.

06

Membership access

A Costco-style model: memberships are the engine, and rides are a member benefit priced close to cost.

Why it wins

CorC is asset-light, fare-matched to what riders already pay in cash, and aligned with regulators from day one. It doesn't compete with drivers or fleets — it makes them more efficient and gives the city its first real data on informal transit.

CorC is a venture within the GreenLeafSource portfolio, currently in pre-launch validation on a Cairo pilot corridor. Figures shown are illustrative and drawn from internal market analysis. A dedicated CorC website is in development.
